Moreover, we’ve observed restaurants and retailers claiming halal status while simultaneously selling alcohol and pork—often from the same kitchen or service line. Such practices undermine consumer trust and disrespect the core principles of halal. It is imperative that professionals, regulators, and consumers alike demand accountability. Certifiers that rely on AI technologies to authenticate halal products are not upholding the necessary standards; they are, in fact, compromising them. **Halal must mean halal.
