The Halal and Haram Distinction Development Initiative (HDI), formerly the Halal Certification Authority (HCA), was represented at the 2nd London Halal Forum by its Chief Analyst, Hajia Kabirat Ajani. The forum held on 10–11 October 2026 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London, under the theme “Halal Tayyib for Humanity.”

The London Halal Forum is organised by Halal 360, a joint venture of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) and the Halal Products Development Company (HPDC). It brings together policymakers, regulators, certification bodies, investors and businesses to discuss the growth of the global Halal economy, through a conference, exhibition, B2B meetings and executive masterclasses.

During the forum, Hajia Ajani attended masterclasses on HPDC investments as a catalyst for the global Halal market, Moroccan ornament and its journey from geometric heritage to contemporary design, and building Halal-compliant AI solutions for the new era. She also met with Nawal Al Babtain, Director of Halal Product Advisory at HPDC, Saudi Arabia.

HDI’s participation reflects its commitment to keeping Nigeria’s Halal certification aligned with international practice, as the organisation continues to pursue wider global recognition.
